PART-TIME PATHWAYS (3 to 5 years) are available for most degrees. To qualify to take college-level classes, some students may be required to take college preparation classes first.

Program Snapshot

  • Attend class in the evening enabling you to work in the day while preparing for a new technical career
  • Gain skills and knowledge in computer science, data acquisition and digital logic design
  • Understand how to prototype, analyze and troubleshoot electronic circuits. Increase your problem-solving abilities
  • Apply credits earned in the certificate program to NECC’s Associate degree in Engineering Science: Technology Option Electronic Concentration
  • Mixture of classroom and lab-based learning.

Helpful Hints

  • Students may need additional math, reading, or writing courses prior to starting the technology certificate core courses. It is advised to take assessment tests as soon as possible in order to establish first set of courses.
  • Talk to an academic advisor early in the education process. Some courses are offered only in fall and only in spring semesters. It is important to plan accordingly.

Milestone Courses

Milestone courses are the most important for success in the program, should be taken in the sequence shown, and may require certain grades or other outcomes for your continued progress toward graduation. They may also cover most, or all the six core skills required for graduation.
