Human services careers are among the fastest growing occupations. Both locally and nationally, job prospects are excellent. If you are a compassionate person who likes helping people overcome challenges in order to improve their lives, Northern Essex offers many career path opportunities to choose from.

Studying for a Human Services Degree At NECC:

You will be trained as a generalist to work in a range of settings with seniors, adults, adolescents, and children. You can train to work with individuals with;

  • Substance abuse issues
  • Intellectual disabilities
  • Mental illness
  • Developmental disabilities
  • Emotional disabilities

Programs integrate classroom learning with practicum courses, which are supervised clinical experiences that provide real-life experiences. The programs integrate the National Community Support Skill Standards into the curriculum and are approved by the Council for Standards in Human Service Education.
