STEP 1
Submit an online application for admission. You can also download/print the new student application and either hand deliver it to the Admissions office in either Lawrence or Haverhill or email it to processing@necc.mass.edu.
STEP 2
Once you have submitted your admissions application the following documents must be submitted via the International Secure Form Submission page:
- International Student Data Form
- High School Diploma & Transcript Final High School Diploma/Transcript must be issued in English or be professionally translated into English.
- College Transcripts (if applicable)
- If you are a transfer student and your credits/classes were completed in a University/College outside of the United States, you must provide a course-by-course evaluation by an evaluation agency such as CED or WES
- Domestic transfer students please have your current college send your official transcripts directly to NECC.
- Proof of English Proficiency, submit one of the following required):
- TOEFL (IBT score of 41 or higher, paper score of 437 or higher) *see note below
- Duolingo (score of 70 or higher)
- IELTS (score of 4.0 or higher) *see note below
- Formal education completed entirely in English- must be noted on transcript
- High School education completed in the United States
- College level work completed in the United States (at least 6 credits not including ESL classes)
- International Student Verification of Financial Support, including one of the following:
- Bank Statement showing minimum balance of $24,570 or
- Bank Letter confirming good standing and minimum balance of $24,570
- Estimate for Dependents (if applicable):
- Spouse – $4,404
- Child – $2,202/per child
- Copy of biographical page in passport (add dependents passport page, if applicable)

Once your application has been reviewed and determined to be complete, the International Office will forward immigration documents to you with instructions on how to apply for a student visa at the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Application deadlines for F-1 International Students are as follows:
- Fall Semester: July 15
- Spring Semester: December 15
