Business Transfer

This Associate Degree in Science is specifically for students who want to continue their education to at a 4-year institution for a Bachelor’s Degree:

  • The degree program offers a curriculum requiring general education courses and a select number of business courses designed to maximize the number of credits transferred to a 4-year degree program in Business.
  • The Mass-Transfer section of DegreeWorks allows students to see how many credits can be transferred to a partnering state college.

 

Business Management

This Associate Degree in Science is specifically for students who want to start in an entry-level position in business after earning their degree at NECC:

  • The degree program offers a curriculum requiring general education courses and a variety of courses in business, such as management, marketing, entrepreneurship, accounting, and finance.
  • This degree does not exclude students from transferring to transfer to a 4-year degree program in Business, but some of the business courses taken at NECC may not be transferable, depending on the specific requirements of the 4-year institution.
  • The Mass-Transfer section of DegreeWorks allows students to see how many credits can be transferred to a partnering state college.

 

Accounting

This Associate Degree in Science is specifically for students who want to start in an entry-level position in accounting:

  • The degree program offers a curriculum requiring general education courses and a variety of courses in accounting, such as accounting theory and practice, cost methods, financial reporting, QuickBooks, and tax.
  • This degree does not exclude students to choose to transfer to a 4-year degree program in Accounting.
  • The Mass-Transfer section of Degree-Works allows students to see how many credits can be transferred to a partnering state college.

 

Hospitality Management

This Associate Degree in Science is specifically for students who want to start a career in the hospitality industry :

  • The degree program offers a curriculum requiring general education courses and a variety of courses in event management, front office procedures, and food & beverage management.
  • Students are prepared for many careers in the hospitality industry including meeting and event planner, hotel or restaurant manager, casino or spa supervisor, or customer relation specialist on a cruise ship, at an amusement park, or at a concert or sporting venue.
  • Students may choose to transfer to a 4-year degree program to attain a Bachelor’s in Hospitality Management.

 

Culinary Arts

This Associate Degree in Applied Science is specifically for students who want to start in an entry-level position in the culinary industry:

  • The degree program provides a strong foundation in the many facets and professional settings of food service from culinary basics to food preparation and cooking techniques, baking, nutrition, safety and sanitation, cost controls, and front of house management.
