Join Professor Loreen Tirrell where she will review best practices for opening a food service business from location selection, brand management, differentiation, staff management, and marketing in our challenging world to partnering with investors and reaching out for support from unique stakeholders.

Professor Tirrell is a Professor of Culinary Arts & Business at Northern Essex Community College. Former Department Chair of Culinary Arts at North Shore Community College.

She has over ten years of experience opening, re-branding, growing, and managing high-end and casual restaurants, catering operations, rock clubs, wholesale baking companies, and cafes in the foodservice industry in New York City, Boston, and Cambridge.  Almost twenty years of experience in hospitality and foodservice education.
