Alpha Beta Gamma

Alpha Beta Gamma – Beta Omicron

Alpha Beta Gamma is a National Business Honor Society dedicated to honoring above-average students. As an Organization, Alpha Beta Gamma holds fundraisers for community charity as well as other needs that may arise.

Membership Requirements

Alpha Beta Gamma is available for all Business Major students enrolled in a degree program: Accounting, Management, Business Transfer, and Hospitality Management who have earned 12 college credits and have a 3.0 overall GPA. Membership induction is only open once a year, so any vacancies remain open until the following induction ceremony.

Delta Alpha Pi

Delta Alpha Pi – Eta Phi

The purpose of this Society shall be to recognize the academic accomplishments of college students with disabilities, to facilitate the development of leadership and advocacy skills, and to provide opportunities for members to serve as mentors and role models. Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society recognizes students with disabilities for their academic accomplishments. Northern Essex Community College is the 189th chapter of DAPi with the chapter designation of Eta Phi. 

Membership Requirements

  • Present with a documented disability and work with one of the staff members in the Center for Accessibility Resources & Services or self-identify as an individual with a disability.
  • Completed a minimum of 24 credits
  • Earned an overall Quality Point Average of 3.10 on a 4.00 scale.

  • Fill out a Hazing Form every academic year.

The National Society of Leadership & Success

The National Society of Leadership & Success

The NSLS is the largest leadership honor society in the United States. Our NSLS chapter at Northern Essex Community College Online was started in 2017. Our local chapter is part of the national organization with 700+ chapters and over 1.4 million members. 
Students are selected based on exemplary academic achievement. As of 2021 we have 1,150 members who have access to:

  • More than $400,000 in scholarships.
  • An exclusive NSLS job board.
  • A personalized letter of recommendation.

The NSLS leadership program teaches the interpersonal skills that employers seek to give you an edge in the job market. Hear directly from current members as they share how their experience has changed their life.

Our five-step program takes approximately 12 hours over the course of the semester at your pace. 
Is this recognized on campus?
We are a Registered NECC Student Organization. As of spring 2023, we have over 1,700 NECC students who have joined our college chapter since we launched the program in 2021 at NECC. There are more than 1.4 million members nationwide.

Spring 2023 Live Speaker Broadcasts for NSLS Members

Please log in to your NSLS members portal account 15 minutes before the listed broadcast time. Once you log in click on the Membership Benefits drop-down and select Live Speaker Broadcast. NSLS members will receive credit toward induction for attending Live Broadcast events upon completion of a speaker broadcast.

Each year we welcome speakers for an interactive live talk, including Q&A, trivia, live polls, and prizes. Each event is recorded and archived so members can watch at a later time.

Members of the PTK Club

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, also ΦΘΚ or sometimes PTK, is the international honor society of two-year colleges and academic programs, particularly state colleges and community colleges. PTK doesn’t just recognize students’ academic success; it gives them opportunities to develop professional and leadership skills, earn scholarships, explore career paths and make their worlds a lot bigger. NECC is the Beta Sigma Lambda Chapter of PTK and our charter date was May 2010. Learn more about PTK.

Students are invited to join NECC’s chapter of PTK by invite only. Student who receive an invitation can join HERE. NECC allows students that are interested in learning more about PTK to attend meetings even if you have not received an official invite.
