Frequently Asked Questions About NECC Computer Labs
Where Can I Print My Paper or Use a Computer to Do Homework?
There are open walk-in labs available in the Libraries on both campuses during posted hours. Black-and-white printing is free and students are asked to print responsibly. There is a small charge for color printing.
Do I Need to Sign in to Use the Walk-In Lab?
Yes, you need to be a currently enrolled student at NECC and show a valid Student ID to use the walk-in labs.
Can I Get Email, Self-Service and Wireless Accounts?
Yes:
- Student Self-Service and email accounts are automatically created when a student registers for credit classes. Online accounts are automatically created when a student registers for an online class.
- Students can activate wireless access on their mobile devices by bringing their device to IT Services at A330 in Haverhill or L005 in Lawrence.
- The default login for all accounts is the student’s 8-digit NECC ID number, and the default password is the student’s 8-digit birthdate MMDDYYYY.

Can I Type a Paper on My Home Computer and Come to NECC to Edit My Paper?
Yes, but if you do not use Microsoft Word to create the file, save as a Rich Text Format or (.rtf) and then you will be able to edit it at NECC.
