Mental Health First Aid® is an international program designed to educate the public on how to respond in a mental health emergency, and offer support to someone in emotional distress.

TASS Conference
The annual Teaching Academic Survival and Success (TASS) Conference, sponsored by NECC, benefits the serious practitioner who is passionate about helping all students, especially those who are underprepared or underrepresented, to survive and thrive in college and beyond.

Northern Essex Community College is proud to recognize those who have made lasting contributions to the college and its students with the inaugural NECC Impact Awards. 

Annual Peace Poetry Contest
NECC community members, particularly K-12 students, are encouraged to create and submit original works of poetry to promote an understanding and value for peace.

The Top Notch Players
With three plays each year, ranging from Shakespearean dramas to musicals and farces to plays by contemporary authors, all NECC students, have opportunities to act, building tech skills and more! Performances are open to the public.

The NECC Music program offers students of all musical abilities the the chance to perform in a variety of ensembles.

White Fund Enlightenment Series
This dynamic free speaker series was made possible by the bequest of Daniel Appleton White, to enrich the lives of people in the Lawrence area. Past speakers have included artists, poets, historians, newsmakers, and more.
