The following information is designed to help you reserve your space and plan your upcoming event. Please review our Rental Requirements below. To begin the event reservation process, please complete our Event Planning Request Form.

Please Review the Requirements for Renting a Room

  • If the room you request is available on the specified date and time, you will receive a confirmation from the Event Coordinator.
  • A $100 non-refundable deposit is due within ten business days of the confirmation. (Please note, if the deposit is not received within ten business days, the room will be released.)
  • Upon receipt of your $100 non-refundable deposit, you will receive an Event Agreement (PDF) which must be signed and returned to the Events Coordinator within ten business days.
  • Full payment and a final guest count must be received seven business days prior to your event.
  • If food is being served, please select one of NECC’s approved caterers. Once you have selected a caterer, please inform the Events Coordinator of your choice by email: events@necc.mass.edu.
  • The host of the event is responsible for accommodating sign language interpreting, access and food related allergy requests.
  • All events are considered on a case by case basis. Depending on the date, time, activity, and attendance extra charges may be added at the discretion of Northern Essex Community College.
  • For questions about catering, serving alcohol or if you require media services or special set-up, please contact an NECC Event Coordinator at events@necc.mass.edu.

Procedure for Requesting Alcohol at an Event

If you are requesting alcohol for an event you must have a confirmation from the Events Coordinator that space has been reserved, along with a $100 non-refundable deposit and a signed Event Agreement (PDF) and Alcohol Request Form (PDF).

The Additional Fees Below will be Charged in Addition to the Room Rental Rates

  • Gold resin chiavari chair (JPG) with cream vinyl chair pad: $2.00 internal, $4.00 external
  • Grill: $50 per day, includes propane
  • IT Fees: Overtime charged at $60/hour, minimum 4 hours
  • Maintenance: Overtime charged at $42/hour, minimum 4 hours
  • Public Safety detail for an internal user, a new rate of 35.00 per hour, minimum 4 hours
  • Public Safety detail for an external user, a new rate of 38.00 per hour, minimum 4 hours
  • Shuttle ( driver and gas included) for an internal user, a new rate of 37.00 per hour, minimum 4 hours
  • Shuttle (driver and gas included) for an external user, a new rate of 40.00 per hour, minimum 4 hours
  • Sports Center: Overtime charged at $25/hour, minimum 4 hours
  • Ubersimple Name Tag Check-in System: $50
  • White paper table coverings:
    • 6 ft. rectangular (54 in.X 108 in.): $2.00 internal, $3.00 external
    • 5 ft. round (82 inch) $3.00 internal, $4.00 external
