I am a member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, and I completed both my Advanced and Executive Leadership Certifications. I joined SGA because I want the students to have a voice, support them in any way, and to make their time at NECC as enjoyable as possible. I am honored to be in this position and looking forward to not only the opportunities that SGA will give but working with an amazing group of people as well. You can reach at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.

Interim Programming Chair of the Haverhill Campus, Sarah Rowell (she/her)
Hi everybody! My name is Sarah Rowell and I joined the Student Government Association for Northern Essex Community College as a Member at Large. In the Spring of 2021 I was nominated and voted in as the Interim Programming Chair of the Haverhill Campus. Since this semester is virtually all of the events I plan will be hosted online. This is my first year being involved with the SGA and so far, we are all really bonding and learning new things together. I wanted to join to be more involved with the school, grow my interpersonal skills, make friends, and I’m really happy that I did. My major is Nursing, and I will begin the program in the Fall of 2021 and until that starts, I work at a Boston hospital as a student nurse. I also am a licensed hairstylist and cut and style hair at people’s homes as a side job. My current position in SGA is Programming Chair of the Lawrence Campus. Due to COVID-19 all programs are virtual so I will target all students this year in my programs. Hi, my name is Eli Abbott, and I am happy to have the opportunity to serve on the SGA as the Marketing and Communication Chair. I am just finishing up my first year here at NECC. I am currently enrolled in the Elementary Education Associate program and will be graduating next year. I enjoy being involved outside of the classroom while at NECC. I was hoping to run on the cross-country team, but we didn’t have enough interest and so now I am doing Esports. Secretary, Alyssa Piccolo (she/her)
My name is Alyssa Piccolo and I currently serve as the Secretary for the Student Government Association here at Northern Essex Community College. I am a sophomore planning on graduating in the Spring of 2021. I am an only child who loves nothing more than spending time with her family and engaging in school-related activities where I am able to help and give back to my peers as much as possible. I am an Early Childhood Education Major, and I work with children ages from infants to preschool and school age. I love children and the ability to help them grow academically is amazing to experience first hand. Therefore, when I was in high school I participated in Skills USA where I served as a leadership member and competed in my shop which at the time was Graphic Communications and Design. Being apart of SkillsUSA has really given me the opportunity to explore, meet new people, and gain an abundance of courage and support along the way. I strongly believe my experience with SkillsUSA helped me to take advantage of getting involved with SGA. I appreciate SGA because I get to help, be involved, and act as a leader to everyone and anyone. I love knowing that I can be apart of other’s lives in a positive manner. Also, I really have met the greatest people in SGA, and seeing everyone in their positions really has shown me that with great minds, and dedication anything is possible. Overall, SGA has brought this light to my life and I am forever grateful to call the other members and my advisor family. So I hope you consider joining SGA. We have a lot of fun! You can reach at email@example.com with any questions or concerns.
