The goal of The Center for Business & Accounting is to provide business, accounting, and hospitality students with a greater sense of belonging at NECC by offering greater access to faculty and professional advisors, a warm and welcoming place to meet with classmates, use a computer, print a paper, pick up a granola bar, or attend an industry-specific seminar.

Important Center Updates – Fall 2020

The college is in the process of making scheduling changes for the Fall semesters due to COVID-19. Most of these changes have to do with converting face-to-face classes to online classes, and in some cases, changing instructors.

You should expect to receive a call from Division Administrative Assistants within the next few weeks if these changes affect you.

If you have any questions or want to make any schedule changes, please reach out to us by emailing the Business Center at An advisor will contact you within 24 hours (except on weekends). If you know who your Business Advisor is, feel free to contact them directly via email.

Because not all of the changes have been finalized on the course search tool/master course schedule, you might want to wait until all changes have been made to the master schedule before making any changes to your fall schedule.

We encourage you to check your NECC email regularly for updates, and for messages from the Business Center and/or your Business Advisor.

Important Registration Updates – Fall 2020

Registration for Summer and Fall 2020 courses starts April 13th.

Due to the national emergency and stay-at-home orders, the following changes have been implemented to advising and registration for Business, Accounting, and Hospitality majors in order to enable you to more easily get advised and register:

  1. No payment is due for fall courses until August 17th. Payment plans for fall will also be available. The first payment date on those plans will also be August 17th. The payment date for summer courses will be May 8th.
  2. If you have the Center for Business & Accounting as your designated advisor (in DegreeWorks or Navigate), please note that you have also been assigned one of the following faculty/staff as your advisor. You will be contacted by your advisor by email or Navigate. Therefore, please check your NECC email and Navigate for more information.
    • Faculty: Professor Ciampi, Professor Boucher, Professor Donahue, Professor Muller, and Professor Quinn
    • Professional Advisor: Rosalie Catalano
  3. Even if you can register yourself online, we strongly suggest that you check in with your advisor to ensure that the courses you have chosen to meet your program requirements. We do not want you to take courses that you do not need to graduate or transfer.

If you have any general questions about advising and registration, please email
